Description
There are Low Miles No Miles cars...and then there are the everyday cars that somehow survived long enough to become extraordinary.
This 1993 Toyota Corolla DX is exactly what Low Miles No Miles is all about.
Showing fewer than 37,000 miles, finished in the beautiful and unusual Tawny Rose Pearl Metallic, and carrying a wonderful Georgia family ownership story, this is the kind of car that almost nobody thought to preserve when it was new.
A fifth-generation Mustang? Sure. A Corvette? Absolutely.
But a 1993 Toyota Corolla?
That's what makes this one so special.
Vehicle Overview
Finished in Tawny Rose Pearl Metallic, a distinctive color represented by the seller as a one-year-only offering, this 1993 Toyota Corolla DX sedan is powered by Toyota's 1.8-liter DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with overdrive.
Built at the NUMMI assembly plant in Fremont, California, and distributed through Southeast Toyota Distributors, this Corolla has spent its life in Georgia.
The odometer shows fewer than 37,000 miles, and the car is accompanied by an accident-free CARFAX history.
The exterior color is particularly interesting. Depending on the lighting, the finish takes on different shades of rose, mauve, and metallic pink, giving an otherwise understated economy sedan a surprisingly distinctive appearance.
Story
The history behind this Corolla is exactly the kind we love.
According to the seller, the car was originally owned by the grandmother of the woman from whom he purchased it. The Corolla eventually passed down through the family before making its way into the current owner's hands.
It's a simple story, but an important one.
These cars were never intended to be collectibles. They were purchased because they were economical, dependable, easy to maintain, and capable of accumulating hundreds of thousands of miles.
And that's precisely what happened to most of them.
They became commuters, first cars, family transportation, and eventually hand-me-downs. They were driven through every season, parked outside, and used until there wasn't much left.
Somehow, this one escaped that fate.
More than three decades later, it remains an exceptionally well-preserved example of one of Toyota's most recognizable economy cars.
Condition
The Tawny Rose Pearl Metallic exterior presents beautifully, retaining much of the originality that makes this Corolla so appealing.
The seller has been particularly transparent about the paintwork. The front bumper cover was recently refinished to address a scuff, with before-and-after photographs included in the gallery documenting the repair.
He also notes that one fender may have received paintwork sometime before his ownership. There is no confirmed repair history or other evidence of repainting, but he has noticed what appears to be a slight difference in shade under certain lighting conditions and wanted prospective bidders to be aware.
Additional exterior imperfections include minor scuffing on the wheel covers, some windshield-wiper-related scarring on the glass, and age-related deterioration of the original rubber weatherstripping and exterior window trim.
Inside, the cabin is remarkably well preserved, with no evidence of smoking or unpleasant odors reported. The seller even notes that it retains the distinctive interior scent familiar to anyone who remembers Toyotas from this era.
The original Toyota glass remains throughout, complete with VIN security etching, and the factory VIN identification labels are still present on the body panels.
The original temporary spare tire and OEM jack appear unused, while even the cardboard trunk trim remains exceptionally well preserved.
Mechanically, the seller reports that the Corolla runs and drives exceptionally well. The cruise control operates properly, and the air conditioning blows cold.
The timing belt was replaced at 17,072 miles, and the vehicle has recently undergone servicing and inspection. A new set of Toyo Extensa all-season tires in the factory size has also been installed.
The stereo has some age-related issues. The rear speakers remain functional but have diminished sound quality, while the front door speakers are currently inoperative.

Letter From The LMNM Team
This is our kind of car.
Seriously.
We know there are people out there who will look at a 1993 Toyota Corolla and wonder why anyone would get excited about it.
And those people probably aren't our people.
Because if you grew up in the 1990s, you remember these things everywhere.
Your grandmother had one.
Your neighbor had one.
Your elementary school teacher probably drove one.
They were dependable, unassuming little cars that did exactly what Toyota promised they would do.
And then they disappeared.
Not because they were bad cars. Quite the opposite. They were so good at being transportation that people simply kept driving them until they were worn out.
That's what makes a Corolla like this so much fun to us.
And can we talk about the color?
Tawny Rose Pearl Metallic.
On a Corolla.
It's such a wonderfully 1990s Toyota decision, and we absolutely love it. Depending on how the sunlight hits the car, the color seems to change personality entirely.
Then you open the door and find an interior that looks remarkably close to the way it did when someone first drove this car home.
The original window sticker is still there.
The owner's manual.
The keys.
Even the original spare and jack appear untouched.
Those are the details that get us excited.
We also appreciate how forthcoming the seller has been about the imperfections. The bumper was refinished, there's a little wear on the trim and wheel covers, and he even pointed out a possible paint variation on a fender that he can't confirm was ever repaired.
That's the kind of transparency we appreciate when presenting a preserved car.
Because preservation doesn't mean perfection.
It means appreciating what survived.
And this little Corolla has survived remarkably well.
We spend plenty of time around rare muscle cars, Corvettes, and high-horsepower machines, but there's something equally satisfying about finding an ordinary car that somehow avoided an ordinary life.
Thirty-three years later, here it is.
A low-mileage, wonderfully colored, family-owned Toyota Corolla that still looks and feels like the car so many of us remember.
That's Low Miles No Miles.
And we wouldn't have it any other way.
