Description

There are Low Miles No Miles Fox Bodies…and then there are the ones people stop scrolling for instantly. This 1992 Ford Mustang LX Notchback falls into that category, showing just 39,500 miles and standing as an exceptionally preserved example of one of the most sought-after Fox Body combinations ever produced.

Vehicle Overview

Finished in the highly desirable Bimini Blue (K3) over a Titanium cloth interior, this Mustang LX notchback is powered by its original 5.0L V8 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. The odometer currently shows 39,500 miles, and the car remains largely original throughout.

What makes this example particularly special is its configuration. In addition to the desirable notchback body style and Bimini Blue color, this car is equipped with the uncommon Z-code 3.08 rear axle and the rare factory radio equalizer option. According to the seller, fewer than 400 similarly equipped cars were produced, with just 291 built for the 1992 model year.

The car remains mostly stock, with the only noted modifications being 17-inch chrome Pony wheels and ceramic window tint. The original factory wheels are included with the sale.

Story

This Mustang remained with its original owner in Michigan for nearly three decades before eventually passing into collector ownership, a major reason it survives today in such preserved condition.

Unlike many Fox Bodies that were modified heavily, raced, or simply worn out over time, this car appears to have avoided that cycle entirely. The current owner has added approximately 20 miles during ownership, continuing the trend of limited use and preservation.

The seller notes the car retains many of the details enthusiasts hope to find but rarely do, including the original window sticker, purchase documentation, paint meter readings, rare Ford cassette tapes purchased with the vehicle when new, and additional OEM Ford spare parts stored in the trunk.

It’s the kind of car that feels less like a restored Fox Body and more like an original survivor that simply made it through untouched.

Condition

As expected for a well-preserved Fox Body, the car presents exceptionally well throughout. The exterior retains its original paint with no reported history of bodywork, while the Titanium cloth interior remains highly original and clean.

The vehicle is reported to be completely rust-free and has no known mechanical issues. A recent March 2026 inspection included fluid checks, an oil change, and a full vehicle inspection.

The only noted cosmetic imperfection is a small touched-up rock chip on the hood.

Overall, this is an exceptionally documented and highly preserved Fox Body that checks nearly every box collectors look for today.

Letter From The LMNM Team

This is exactly the kind of Fox Body people chase.

The moment you see the Bimini Blue on a notchback, it already stands out. Then you start looking at the details the 5-speed, the cloth interior, the rare options, the originality, and it just keeps getting better.

Fox Bodies have become one of the hottest platforms out there, but finding one that still feels this honest is getting incredibly difficult. Most were modified, raced, cut up, or simply worn out over time.

This one wasn’t.

It was preserved, documented, and clearly cared for its entire life. And when you combine all of that with a color and configuration this uncommon, you end up with something genuinely special.

This is one of those cars that Fox Body people immediately understand the second they see it.
