5K-Mile 1993 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
Overview
Description
There are Low Miles No Miles cars...and then there are the ones that represented the absolute pinnacle of American performance when they were new. This 1993 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 is one of those cars, showing just 5,337 miles and finished in arguably the ultimate combination: Black over Black.
Vehicle Overview
Finished in Black over a Black leather interior, this 1993 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 is powered by its original 5.7-liter LT5 DOHC V8 paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. The odometer currently shows just 5,337 miles.
The ZR-1 was no ordinary C4. Developed as Chevrolet's world-class performance Corvette, its centerpiece was the legendary Lotus-designed, Mercury Marine-built LT5, a sophisticated all-aluminum, 32-valve, dual-overhead-cam V8 producing 405 horsepower for 1993.
This example remains 100% stock and unmodified, retaining its original paint and remarkably original presentation. It is equipped with two removable roof panels and is accompanied by two complete sets of keys, one key fob, the original spare tire, jack, and tire bag. Being Black on Black makes it a pretty low production number with only 54 being produced in this specification.
Even the original Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires remain with the car and are included with the sale.
Story
This ZR-1 has lived exactly the kind of life you'd hope to find behind a 5,000-mile Corvette.
Its original owner kept the car until 2016 and accumulated only approximately 3,700 miles during that time.
It later changed hands and accumulated roughly another 700 miles before the current owner purchased it in 2022 with approximately 4,400 miles.
Unlike a delivery-mile example that has spent its entire existence sitting still, the current owner has actually exercised and enjoyed the car. Over four years, approximately 937 miles have been added through trips to local car cruises and shows, bringing the odometer to its current 5,337 miles.
It has remained carefully preserved while still receiving enough use to be enjoyed as Chevrolet intended.
Condition
This ZR-1 presents exceptionally well throughout.
The Black exterior retains its original paint, while the Black leather interior remains highly preserved with the seats showing very little wear. The seller reports the car is rust free, completely unmodified, and that everything functions properly, including cold air conditioning.
For transparency, the passenger-side mirror has a small chip that has been touched up, and the original windshield is beginning to exhibit some hazing.
The Corvette was serviced in the fall of 2025 with an engine oil and filter change, coolant drain and replacement, fresh brake fluid, and bleeding of all four brake lines.
The original Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires were removed with approximately 3,700 miles of use and accompany the car, including the original 275/40ZR17 fronts and massive 315/35ZR17 rears.
Overall, this is an exceptionally original, properly preserved ZR-1 with just over 5,000 miles and all the right ingredients.

Letter From The LMNM Team
The C4 ZR-1 is one of those cars that becomes more impressive the deeper you dig into what Chevrolet actually accomplished.
This wasn't simply a Corvette with a hotter version of the regular engine.
Chevrolet went all in.
Lotus engineering. Mercury Marine assembly. Four camshafts. 32 valves. Six speeds. Massive 315-series rear tires.
And by 1993, the LT5 was making 405 horsepower.
That was serious business in the early '90s.
Then there's this particular car.
Black over Black.
5,337 miles.
Original paint.
Unmodified.
Two tops.
And even the original Goodyear tires have stayed with it.
That's about how we'd draw one up.
We also like that the current owner hasn't been afraid to occasionally exercise it. This hasn't simply disappeared into a bubble for decades. It's been carefully maintained, taken to cruises and shows, and enjoyed while still accumulating fewer than 1,000 miles over the last four years.
The ZR-1 was Chevrolet proving to the world that America's sports car could run with just about anything.
More than three decades later, the engineering still feels special. When you find a 405-horsepower example in Black over Black with barely 5,000 miles showing, it gets our attention pretty quickly.
