Description

There are Low Miles No Miles trucks...and then there’s a Ford f*ckin’ Ranger.

This 2001 Ford Ranger XLT is exactly the kind of small pickup that made these trucks legendary in the first place. Showing just 40,159 miles, finished in bright Red, powered by the desirable 4.0-liter V6, and equipped with four-wheel drive, this is an exceptionally clean example of a truck that was usually worked hard and driven until the wheels fell off.

Vehicle Overview

Finished in Red over a Gray interior, this 2001 Ford Ranger XLT is powered by its original 4.0-liter Cologne V6 paired with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. The odometer currently shows just 40,159 miles.

As an XLT, this Ranger is nicely equipped with the comfort and convenience features that made these trucks equally at home as daily drivers or weekend workhorses, including power equipment throughout.

Best of all, it remains completely stock and original.

No giant lift.

No hacked-up interior.

No questionable modifications from 2007.

Just a really clean Ranger.

Story

The Ford Ranger was one of those trucks that seemed to be everywhere.

Landscapers had them. Contractors had them. High school kids had them. Your neighbor probably had one sitting beside his garage with 240,000 miles on it that still fired up every morning.

That's precisely why finding one like this has become so difficult.

This Ranger has traveled just over 40,000 miles in 25 years and has somehow avoided the abuse, modifications, rust, and general wear that claimed so many of them.

The current owner acquired the truck less than a year ago and has added approximately 300 miles during ownership.

It's not complicated.

It's simply a damn nice old Ford Ranger.

Condition

This Ranger presents exceptionally well throughout.

The seller reports that the truck retains its original paint and is completely rust free. The Red exterior still presents beautifully, while the Gray interior reflects the truck's remarkably limited use. Noted is some minor corrosion on aluminum wheel faces.

Mechanically, the seller reports no known issues. The truck has a complete service history available, and the fluids were checked approximately three months ago.

The original 4.0-liter V6, automatic transmission, and four-wheel-drive system remain in place, and the truck is reported to run and drive as it should.

Overall, this is an unusually clean, low-mile example of one of Ford's most beloved compact pickups.

Letter From The LMNM Team

You already know what we're going to say.

We ain't no stranger, it's a Ford f*ckin' Ranger.

There are certain vehicles that don't need to be exotic, rare, or expensive to develop a cult following, and the Ranger might be one of the best examples ever built.

These little trucks just worked.

They hauled things they probably shouldn't have hauled, went places they probably shouldn't have gone, and routinely accumulated mileage numbers that would scare most modern vehicles.

The problem is that everyone treated them exactly that way.

That's why this one caught our attention.

Just 40,159 miles.

4.0-liter V6.

4x4.

XLT.

Original paint.

No rust.

And completely stock.

It's essentially the Ranger configuration everyone wants, without 200,000 miles, rusted-out cab corners, a sagging headliner, and three generations of questionable modifications.

We love the weird stuff at LMNM, but sometimes you don't need a crazy story.

Sometimes all you need is an exceptionally clean old pickup from an era when trucks were still small, simple, and built to work.

And sometimes....You just need a Ford f*ckin' Ranger.
