Description

There are Low Miles No Miles Corvettes...and then there are the special editions that capture an entire moment in Corvette history.

This 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 40th Anniversary Convertible is one of those cars.

Ruby Red Metallic paint. Ruby Red leather. Matching convertible top. LT1 V8. And just 7,925 miles shown.

Add in one-owner history, original paint, complete factory originality, and even its original tires, and you're looking at an exceptionally preserved example of one of the most recognizable C4 special editions Chevrolet ever produced.

Vehicle Overview

Built to commemorate four decades of America's sports car, this 1993 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is equipped with the 40th Anniversary Package and finished in its signature Ruby Red Metallic over a matching Ruby Red leather interior.

Under the hood is its original 5.7-liter LT1 V8 paired with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

The odometer shows just 7,925 miles.

The car remains 100% stock and original, retains its original paint, and is still wearing its original tires, a remarkable detail that speaks to just how little use this Corvette has seen during the last three decades.

The seller reports no known mechanical issues, no rust, and a clean title.

The 40th Anniversary Corvette

1993 marked 40 years since the first Corvette rolled off the line for the 1953 model year, and Chevrolet celebrated the milestone with one of the most distinctive appearance packages of the C4 era.

The 40th Anniversary Package transformed the Corvette with its exclusive Ruby Red Metallic exterior, Ruby Red leather seating, special embroidered headrests, commemorative badging, and matching interior appointments.

On the convertible, the monochromatic treatment becomes even more dramatic.

Top down, it's unmistakably C4.

Top up, the combination of Ruby Red bodywork, matching top, and matching interior creates a look that could only have come from the early 1990s and we mean that in the best possible way.

This wasn't simply another color choice. Chevrolet created an entire visual identity around the Corvette's 40th birthday, and more than three decades later, it's still immediately recognizable.

Story

Sometimes the best history is the simplest.

One owner.

Fewer than 8,000 miles.

And essentially untouched from new.

According to the selling dealer, this Corvette remained with its original owner until recently and accumulated only 7,925 miles during that time.

The current dealer acquired the car less than a year ago and has added approximately 50 miles.

There isn't an extensive collection of service documentation accompanying the car, but what remains is arguably more interesting from a preservation standpoint: an original-paint, stock 40th Anniversary Convertible that has survived without being modified, restored or cosmetically reinvented.

Even the original tires remain on the car.

Condition

With fewer than 8,000 miles shown, this Corvette presents as an exceptionally preserved example.

The Ruby Red Metallic exterior retains its original paint, while the matching Ruby Red interior reflects the remarkably limited use the car has experienced.

The seller reports no known mechanical issues, warning lights, rust or fiberglass issues.

No modifications have been made, and the original LT1 V8 and automatic transmission remain in place.

Perhaps one of the most telling details is the presence of its original tires. While their age should obviously be considered before any meaningful road use, their survival is another indication of just how little this Corvette has been driven.

This isn't a restored 40th Anniversary Corvette made to resemble the way it looked in 1993.

It simply never got very far away from 1993 in the first place.

Letter From The LMNM Team

There are certain colors you don't even need to name.

Show a Corvette person this combination and they know exactly what they're looking at.

Ruby Red on Ruby Red.

40th Anniversary.

It's peak C4 Corvette.

And this one has traveled just 7,925 miles.

That's what makes this car so appealing to us. Chevrolet built the 40th Anniversary Edition to celebrate where Corvette had been and somebody apparently decided the best way to celebrate was to preserve one.

For more than three decades, this car remained with one owner and accumulated fewer miles than plenty of people drive in six months.

And they left it alone.

Original paint.

Original drivetrain.

Original interior.

No modifications.

Even the original tires are still there.

We love details like that. Not because we'd recommend heading out on a cross-country road trip on three-decade-old tires, but because they're part of the physical history of the car. Every time something original survives, it gives you another glimpse of what this Corvette was when it was new.

And this particular era deserves some appreciation.

By 1993, the C4 had matured considerably from the car introduced a decade earlier. The LT1 had brought serious performance back to the standard Corvette, yet the basic shape was still unmistakably the wedge-shaped American sports car that defined an entire generation.

Then Chevrolet covered one in Ruby Red from seemingly one end to the other and called it a birthday present.

We approve.

There may be faster Corvettes.

There may be rarer Corvettes.

But there's something incredibly satisfying about an anniversary car that actually survived like one.

One longtime owner.

Less than 8,000 miles.

Original paint.

Completely stock.

And enough Ruby Red to make sure nobody mistakes it for an ordinary '93.

They only celebrated 40 years once. This one looks like it barely left the party.
