11K-Mile 2002 Ford Mustang GT Convertible 5 Speed Manual
Overview
Description
There are Low Miles No Miles Mustangs...and then there are the ones that make you wonder if anyone ever actually drove them. This 2002 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible is one of those cars, showing just 11,859 miles and presenting in the kind of condition that becomes increasingly difficult to find on a New Edge Mustang. Finished in gorgeous Mineral Grey over Dark Charcoal leather, even the underside looks almost too clean to believe.
Vehicle Overview
Finished in Mineral Grey over a Dark Charcoal leather interior, this 2002 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible is powered by its original 4.6-liter V8 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. The odometer currently shows just 11,859 miles.
As a GT Premium, this Mustang combines the unmistakable sound and character of Ford's 4.6L V8 with a nicely appointed interior, leather seating, and the open-air experience of a convertible.
The specification is especially attractive here. Mineral Grey and paired with the Dark Charcoal leather and a manual transmission, it gives this GT a subtle, understated appearance that has aged exceptionally well.
Most importantly, the car remains 100% stock and unmodified. Aside from replacement tires, it presents essentially as Ford intended.
Story
This Mustang's condition begins to make sense when you learn where it came from.
According to the seller, the car was ordered new by its original owner, a retired petroleum engineer, and remained in his care for more than two decades.
Rather than being treated as a typical Mustang GT, the car was properly stored, maintained, and driven sparingly throughout its life. By the time it left its original owner, it had accumulated fewer than 12,000 miles.
The current selling dealer acquired the Mustang locally and has added only approximately 15 miles.
Sometimes you don't need an elaborate story.
One owner. Proper storage. Careful maintenance. Almost 25 years of preservation.
The car speaks for itself.
Condition
This Mustang presents exceptionally well from top to bottom.
The Mineral Grey exterior retains its original paint, while the Dark Charcoal leather interior shows the kind of limited wear you'd expect from a car with fewer than 12,000 miles.
Then there's the underside.
Simply put, it's incredible.
The undercarriage is exceptionally clean and reflects the kind of sheltered life this Mustang has enjoyed. This is an area where New Edge Mustangs can quickly reveal how they were stored and used, and this example leaves very little to the imagination. The condition is documented extensively in the gallery.
The seller reports no rust, no known mechanical issues, and no modifications.
Within the last 30 days, the car received fresh engine oil and a new set of tires. No additional mileage has been added since that service.
Overall, this is an exceptionally preserved GT Premium that looks above, below, and inside like a car that has been cared for from day one.

Letter From The LMNM Team
We've seen a lot of New Edge Mustangs.
This isn't a normal one.
You can clean paint. You can detail an interior. You can polish wheels.
But it's pretty difficult to fake an underside that looks like this after nearly 25 years.
That's what immediately caught our attention.
Then you start checking the other boxes.
11,859 miles.
One owner.
Mineral Grey.
Dark Charcoal leather.
GT Premium.
5-speed manual.
Convertible.
And absolutely no modifications.
That's a pretty killer combination.
These cars existed during an era when modifying a Mustang GT was practically a rite of passage. Exhaust, gears, cold-air intakes, lowering springs, wheels, you name it. Finding one that's remained exactly the way Ford built it has become surprisingly difficult.
Finding one with 11,000 miles and an undercarriage you could practically eat off of is another story entirely.
We also love Mineral Grey on these cars. It's subtle enough to let the New Edge body lines do the talking and looks just as good today as it did in 2002.
This isn't some exotic Mustang Ford built in tiny numbers.
It's something arguably harder to recreate today.
A regular Mustang GT that somebody cared enough about to preserve extraordinarily well for nearly a quarter century. Those are exactly the cars we love finding.
