3K-Mile 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham
Overview
Description
There are Low Miles No Miles classics…and then there are true time capsules. This 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham falls firmly into the second category, 3,486 miles shown and presenting like a car that’s been carefully preserved rather than simply stored.
Vehicle Overview
Finished in triple black, this Cutlass Supreme Brougham is powered by its original 350 Rocket V8 paired to an automatic transmission. The odometer currently has 3,486 miles shown, and the car remains remarkably original throughout, with the drivetrain untouched from the factory. Aside from routine service items such as the battery and fluids, the car retains its original components including the factory DELCO battery, which is included with the sale.
Story
Originally delivered on June 6, 1977, the first owner reportedly drove the car only on select sunny days over the course of roughly two years before it was parked long-term. A career as an over-the-road truck driver and later family obligations led to the car being stored under cover in a garage, where it remained largely untouched.
In the mid-1990s, the car was passed along to its current caretaker, who has preserved it for approximately 30 years. During that time, it has been stored in a climate-controlled environment, often kept on a lift and covered using its original 1977 car cover. Notably, the car had not been exposed to daylight for roughly 20 years until recently being removed from storage.
The car is accompanied by a collection of original dealer paperwork, along with the original title still in the first owner’s name. The seller also notes they remain in contact with the original owner, who can help speak to the car’s history.
Condition
As expected for a preserved example, the car presents extremely well throughout. The original paint is described as largely untouched and retains a deep finish, highlighted by factory hand-painted gold pinstriping. The seller further notes the original lacquer paint shows no cracking, checking, fading, or flaws of any kind, which is exceptionally rare for a vehicle of this era. Minor imperfections are noted, including small solvent pops on the rear filler panel and lower areas, which have been lightly touched up.
The interior shows minimal wear, with details such as the gas and brake pedal surfaces reflecting very limited use consistent with the miles shown.
The underside and structure are reported to be free of rust, with only light surface oxidation present on unpainted components, as expected. The trunk area displays factory-applied undercoating, including visible spray within the inner quarter sections.
Mechanically, the car runs and shifts properly. In September 2025, the fuel system was serviced, including removal and flushing of the fuel tank, replacement of the fuel filter, and a carburetor rebuild due to aged fuel. Additional work included fresh oil and filter service, cleaning of the spark plugs, and replacement of valve cover gaskets.
The seller also states the vehicle is started regularly to keep engine and transmission seals properly lubricated and reports no oil or fluid leaks.
Noted items include a slight fluctuation in idle once warmed up, as well as a non-functional air conditioning system, believed to be due to a loss of refrigerant from extended inactivity. The car is currently equipped with its original date-coded tires, which are not considered safe for road use.

Letter From The LMNM Team
We come across a lot of low-mile cars, but every once in a while something shows up that just feels different and this is one of those cars.
What stood out to us here isn’t just the miles, it’s how the car was kept. Covered, stored, and intentionally preserved for decades. The kind of car that didn’t just survive it was protected.
Details like the original paperwork, the original battery still being with the car, and the fact that it sat untouched for nearly 20 years all add up to something you just don’t see often anymore.
This is exactly the kind of car that built the Low Miles No Miles brand honest, untouched survivors with real stories behind them. The kind of car that speaks for itself the second you start looking through it.
